Fresh details about a crash involving a car and a delivery truck have been released by Thames Valley Police as they launch an appeal for information in High Wycombe.

A black Honda Insight smashed into a parked goods lorry outside the Mr India takeaway on the A40 London Road around 2.30pm on April 26.

A passenger in the Honda car was a woman in her eighties who suffered serious injuries including a broken left arm, two broken spinal bones, a broken nose, and four broken ribs.

She was initially taken to Wexham Park Hospital and has since been transferred to the John Radcliffe Hospital where she remains.

The Honda was travelling eastbound along London Road, Loudwater.

All emergency services were on the scene of the crash, which happened outside the parade of shops where Mr India and Domino’s Pizza is.

Investigating officer PC Alistair Bennett, based at Amersham police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who was driving in the area at the time and has dash-cam footage of the incident or of a black Honda Insight to please get in touch.
