A request for permission to finish a part-constructed ‘leisure and community facility’ at a “gypsy site” has been submitted to the council.
Luxury Caravans Limited has submitted to Bucks Council an application for part-retrospective permission to finish a structure for “leisure and fitness use” at 5 Pendles Paddock, on Marlow Road, in Stokenchurch.
A council document reads: “Gypsy site with building…incorporating leisure and fitness use.”

The new 289-sqm single-story building, which is already underway, will be “for residents and guests of Pendles Paddock”, according to council documents.
Part of the build will be “used for sports training, primarily related to boxing”, it also states. The rest is for “community uses”.
No sanitary facilities will be provided, as “these are available close at hand in the homes that occupy the site”.

A planning statement reads: “The wider site has been used as a gypsy site for some time and has been the subject of a number of planning applications.
“The development is not yet complete, with some windows, doors, floor screed, final fix electrics, decoration and final finishes to be undertaken.”

It adds: “The development is intended as a leisure and community facility for the residents on the site, focussed at the children and young people of the site.
“This facility gives access to sport and communal activities that would otherwise be difficult or impossible for these residents to access.”
The applicant is now ‘awaiting a decision’ from Bucks Council.
