Thames Valley Police and a bomb disposal team from the Royal Logistics Corps were called to Marlow this afternoon.
This followed reports of a suspicious item that was found in the River Thames.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that, fortunately, the item was not dangerous.

The force went on to issue a warning, saying on social media: "We would like to remind you that magnet fishing can cause a public nuisance and can take up a lot of emergency services."
