A tealight in a bedroom sparked a blaze which severely damaged a house in Milton Keynes.
Firefighters from West Ashland, Broughton, Buckingham, Aylesbury and Woburn, along with two officers, were called to Kingsfold, Bradville at 4.44am today (April 15).
Bucks Fire said the blaze caused severe damage to the first floor and roof of the mid-terraced house, as well as smoke and water damage to the ground floor.
Thankfully everyone in the house was able to get out safely and firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.
Crews used two main jets, one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus, a turntable ladder and thermal imaging cameras for the fire, and isolated the gas and electricity.
