A couple from Marlow recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary
Jean and John Turnbull from Marlow received a message from the Queen to congratulate the pair.

This came before the passing of her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on Friday, April 9.
The couple in their mid-90s met at RAF Dishforth, Yorkshire in 1950 and were married in 1951, 70 years ago.
Jean was a Corporal and John, after flying in a variety of aircrafts finalising as a Navigator in a Vulcan bomber.

He left the RAF on his 50th birthday joining the Civil Service whilst Jean raised their three children before taking up a nursing career at age 65 studying for a University degree.
The couple still live independently at a Churchill Retirement Living apartment in Marlow.
