A third McDonald's could be built in Aylesbury if new plans are given the green light.
The plans, which were submitted to Buckinghamshire Council last month, could see the fast-food restaurant have its third branch in the town.
If approved, it will be built in the Stocklake part of the town, with the site having a new internal road, as well as a drive-thru lane and a separate parking area.
There will also be ‘pedestrian access to the drive-thru restaurant’ and this will be done via a ‘footway adjacent to the access road.’

A zebra-crossing will also be put in place in the area.
Overall, there will be a total of 147 parking spaces with 49 being allocated to the drive-thru and 98 for the industrial units, with 84 spaces being allocated to individual units and 14 would be visitor/unallocated spaces.
Designated disabled parking bays will be provided nearest to the building entrances, whilst four of the parking spaces would be designated for electric vehicle charging, including two visitor spaces.
These will all be put in place if the plans are approved.
If given the green light, the town’s third McDonald’s restaurant will be built where the current Askeys sits, which is currently empty.
An excerpt from the planning application reads: “The applicant is in advanced negotiations with McDonald’s and it is intended that they will be the future occupier.
“As such the building has been designed to meet their operational requirements as a freestanding restaurant unit -customers will eat within or outside the building, or take away from the premises via the drive-thru.
“Public areas within the building comprise the dining area, counter and male/female/disabled toilets, with non-trading areas including kitchen, service counters, drive-thru booths, staff room, staff changing area, stores (including freezer and chiller rooms).”
