A total of 31,259 people have had Covid-19 in Buckinghamshire, the latest figures show.
It comes after Public Health England changed the way it recorded the figures from Friday, which resulted in the removal of more than 8,000 cases from the UK running total.
Public Health England figures show that 31,259 people had been confirmed as testing positive for Covid-19 by 9am on Tuesday (April 13) in Buckinghamshire, up from 31,247 the same time on Monday.
Cases that are identified through a positive lateral flow test – those which can deliver results within half an hour – will no longer be counted if the person then takes a PCR test, which is sent to a lab to be checked, and receives a negative result within three days.
This change in methodology saw 8,010 cases stripped from the UK cumulative total at the end of last week.
The rate of infection in Buckinghamshire now stands at 5,746 cases per 100,000 people, lower than the England average of 6,795.
Across the UK, the number of recorded cases increased by 2,471 over the period, to 4,375,814.
Buckinghamshire's cases were among the 535,892 recorded across the South East, a figure which rose by 232 over the period.
Cumulative case counts include patients who are currently unwell, have recovered and those that have died.
