A resident believes a road in Aylesbury ‘ may be one of the worst in Bucks’, due to the number of potholes that are on the street.
Photos taken on Bishops Walk in the town show that the street’s road is covered in numerous potholes, with the edge of the pavement being unstable.
The street is at a junction to the Wendover Road which is a main road going into and out of the centre of Aylesbury.
The photos that we have received have not been shared on the popular street-fixing website, Fix My Street, however, a post from March 25, 2021, on the website has asked Buckinghamshire Council to fix an issue with one of the street’s pavements.

The resident who took the photos and wants to remain anonymous, said: “I think this could one of the worst roads in Buckinghamshire, never mind just Aylesbury.
“When I go to the petrol station nearby, I tend to go down that road [Bishops Walk] afterwards to do a u-turn, to head back into the centre of Aylesbury, as the junction from the petrol station going into the town, I find to be quite dangerous.
“And every time I go down Bishops Walk, my jaw hits the floor as I cannot believe cars can drive on that surface.
“It is so bad it is crazy.

“It is incredibly uneven, the potholes are deep and I feel for cyclists who cross that road as they could suffer a serious injury due to how dangerous the roads are.
“I understand that cars don’t go fast on that road as you can’t, but still, it is ridiculous that a road that can be used by any motorist is in such bad condition.”
According to a report that was published by driving.co.uk, potholes are due to increase by 16 per cent over the next decade.
Buckinghamshire Council said: "Bishops Walk, Aylesbury is a private road and its maintenance is not the responsibility of Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB).
This road has never been adopted as public highway and remains the responsibility of the owners.
"From a Land Registry enquiry dated 20/10/2017 the current owners are Kingley Properties Limited.
"They can be reached at 245 Upper Richmond Road West, London, SW14 8QS."
