People were seen lining up outside hairdressers, non-essential shops, gyms, and nail salons.
The longest queues this morning in High Wycombe formed outside fashion stores TK Maxx and Primark.

Swimming pools, libraries, and zoos are also allowed to open their doors from today as rules are relaxed.
The easing of restrictions will also allow pubs to reopen their gardens too.
The new rules have been welcomed by high street stores who have been among the hardest hit throughout the pandemic.
