A Bucks M&S food store is set to close.
The firm confirmed it will be closing the Simply Food store in Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross, towards the end of May - with a final closing date not yet confirmed.
A spokesman said staff at the branch had been informed that M&S had “made the difficult decision” not to renew the lease on the store.
They confirmed no jobs are at risk from the closure and staff will be transferred to other M&S stores such as in Chalfont St Peter, Beaconsfield, Rickmansworth and Uxbridge.
John Turner, M&S regional manager, said: “Shopping habits are changing, so we’re reshaping our store estate to ensure it meets the needs of customer today – and those of tomorrow.
“As part of this transformation, we have announced that our M&S Simply Food store at 10 Packhorse Road, Gerrards Cross will be closing in late May 2021, and colleagues will move to work at other M&S stores in the local area.
“We appreciate that this will be disappointing news for some, but we will be working hard to keep serving the local community from our many other local M&S stores, including our nearby Chalfont St Peter Foodhall.”
