With news this week that a major town centre regeneration could see the “redundant” Chilterns Shopping Centre “wiped away” for 300 new homes, we take a look back at the area in High Wycombe.
This picture, looking down Frogmoor, is from 1991 and shows the Chilterns Shopping centre on the left.
The Chilterns is still there but the rest of the street has changed significantly.

This second photo, from around 1905, features McIlroys at the junction between Church Street and Priory Road.
Primark now stands where McIlroys was, with the Chilterns Shopping Centre a few doors down.
