Several Barclays branches in Buckinghamshire will close permanently this year.
The decision has come after the banking firm confirmed more of their customers are dealing with their finances online, and therefore, some branches are becoming used less.
In a statement, Barclays said: “Our branch network and the colleagues who work in them remain a vital part of what we offer our customers.
“Yet with customers visiting our branches less and less each year, we must constantly assess how and why our branches are used and make decisions based on that insight.
“There will be times when this means that we will make the difficult decision to close a branch.”

What Greg Smith said on the matter
Really concerning to hear @Barclays are proposing to close branches in Buckingham and Princes Risborough. I get banking is changing, but there is still a clear need for branch services. Have demanded an urgent meeting with them to try and get them to see sense.
