With news that 37 new flats could be built near Great Missenden Railway Station, we’ve unearthed pictures of the town through the years.
This photo shows both sides of the High Street in the 1950s, with the Cross Keys pub and the Post Office on the left.
The pub still stands and the Post Office is now a Royal Mail delivery office.

This second photo is from 1955 and shows the modern shopping centre on the corner of the junction of the High Street and Station Approach.
There is now a mini roundabout at the junction and the shops have changed but the building is still recognisable.
