Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.
They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.
Here are four of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.
99 Bowerdean Road, High Wycombe
Two new flats could be built on the extension of this High Wycombe property.
Developers have outlined plans to construct a part single and part two storey rear extension alongside a hip-to-gable roof extension.
New fencing, bin storage, cycle storage, two new parking spaces and two new electrical charging points are all planned in connection with the conversion of the current residential dwelling into one one-bedroom flat and one two-bedroom flat.
Fairlawn Sandpits Lane Tylers Green
This Tylers Green property could see the existing garage being converted in order to form habitable accommodation.
The householders also aims to construct a part two storey and part single storey rear extension and alteration of the roof, alongside the creation of additional parking spaces.
Revola, Clay Lane, Booker
A bungalow close to High Wycombe tip could be demolished and replaced with nine new homes.
Nicholas King Homes wants to bulldoze the bungalow called Revola on Clay Lane,
Booker, which is right next to the access road for the tip.
Their previous plans for the site were refused in June last year for being “out of keeping” with the area, with the council claiming they had not shown how trees would be protected during the building works.
Now, they say they have taken into consideration the first refusal and have come back with fresh plans.
They want to build seven three-bed houses and two four-bed homes on the site in newly designed “courtyard” layout.
