THE highways authority has come under fire for “shoddy” road repairs repeatedly done and which one resident said last ‘no more than a few months’.
Transport for Buckinghamshire (TfB) was slammed on social media for repairs done to a series of cracks on Hillside Road, in Marlow, which one person said “just gets worse” each time.
They took to Twitter about the two-week-old repairs near Woodland Way, claiming the same spot had been done three times in four years.

“This is what constitutes road repairs in Bucks,” tweeted the person on March 16.
“These repairs are two weeks old…the third time these holes have been filled in the past four years…and each time the problem just gets worse with repairs lasting no more than a few months.
“If I said the work was shoddy it would be an understatement.”

A spokesman for Transport for Buckinghamshire said: “TfB carried out temporary repairs to the defects on Hillside Road, Marlow to make the defects safe until a larger, permanent patch can be undertaken when road temperatures allow.
“In the meantime, we will continue to monitor and inspect the area for any further defects and shall complete any further remedial works if they are required until the permanent repairs can be done.”
