Around 50 bin bags containing what is supposedly cannabis have been dumped in a village in West Buckinghamshire.
At around lunchtime on Thursday, March 4, the bags were left on Muswell Hill in Brill which prompted one resident in the village to contact the authorities and the council.
After Buckinghamshire Council allegedly attended the scene, they reportedly left stickers on the bags explaining they had visited the area, but did not take them.
The police have also been made aware but as of Saturday, March 13, the bags hadn’t been taken.
This has caused two locals to express their concerns as the contents of the bag ‘could be dangerous’ to wildlife, as well as others who live in the area.

One of the residents, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: “I saw a big pile of black bags, went grocery shopping and I thought if the bags are still there when I get back then I’ll stop, take photos and call the council when I get home.
“It was still there when I got back and when about I was about to take a photo, one of the bags was a bit ripped, I saw something sticking out of it and at first I thought they were stinging nettles.
“I thought, ‘lazy b*****ds, dumping all that rubbish along here’ but then the wind changed direction and the smell hit me, and it hit me what I was looking at.
“I saw in the bags which had been ripped open and it was ‘adult plants’ that had been cut.
“They were covered in leaves and you could see the THC crystals.
“I just couldn’t believe it.
“I went back to the car and that thought ‘that’s pot’.”
The discovery of the supposed drug in the village comes two months after ventilation equipment was dumped in a similar area in Brill.
In January of this year, several filter boxes appeared at the side of the road, as well as in some bushes, which left some residents in the village perplexed.
Now following the potential discovery of illegal substances in the village, rumours are circulating in the area that someone has, or currently is, running a cannabis farm, but this has yet to be proven or confirmed.
The resident also did not understand why the bags hadn’t been picked up after nearly two weeks since making the first call to the authorities.
The resident continued: “I said [to the police] how long will it take because I don’t mind waiting and they said to go about with my day as it wasn’t a ‘blues and twos type situation’ and that ‘it’ll be when a car is available.’
“But I definitely think it should have been picked up by now.
“It is not safe to leave it there and I don’t know how many seeds are going to fall but I assume there is going to be a very interesting hedge there in the summer.
“And with lockdown, there are a lot of people walking up and down that road and I think personally, as a parent with a young child, that sort of thing should be cleared up.
“I don’t know what the plants would do to the wildlife, but I cannot imagine it would be very good.
“It’s one thing to buy a small amount for personal use, but if someone has got an entire black bag full of something that they don’t know what has been done to the strength of it, I think it could be really dangerous.

“And it looked like someone had ditched their farm in a hurry as it looked like there was a lot of sellable product in these bags, as you can tell this wasn’t leftover stock.
“I’m just worried about the wildlife as we’re heading to that time where everything is going to start hatching.
“God forbid the birds use it for nesting.”
