High Wycombe will see the opening of American burger chain Five Guys on March 15 and local competitors and Wycombe residents have reacted to the news.
Initially, customers will only be able to order at the till for takeaway, or online for Click & Collect, Deliveroo or Curbside.
Located in Cressex the burger chain has replaced Frankie & Benny's which shut down last year.

Despite the competition, a local rival takeaway was optimistic about the opening of the American fast-food chain.
They said: “We think it’s good for the local people because it provides more jobs.
“It’s also good for that area because it has been sort of neglected.
“Everyone has moved out of there so it’s good for someone to take it and do something with it.
"Hopefully they employ local people and make the area buzzing like it used to be.”
In terms of direct competition, the rival takeaway is not worried about the restaurant that has over 100 branches in the UK.
They continued: “We’re not worried because we’re better.
“You’ve got McDonald’s and Burger King and all these other burger places in town so you’ve already a few other places.
“For us, it’s not really a big deal, and we don’t really do the same burgers so there’s nothing us to worry about.
“It's more for the locals if someone is going to come to the town it needs to be someone that adds to it.”
Residents have also reacted on Facebook to the news that High Wycombe will be the first Five Guy branch opened in 2021.

Some also hoped that the opening will help drive customers to the Cressex area.
A local resident said: “Hopefully will bring more business to Empire Cinema! Just in time for coming out of lockdown.”
Whilst others were excited about the famous Five Guys milkshakes.
One Wycombe resident said: “Milkshake with bacon bits. Get in!”
And another added: “They do the best milkshakes so have ever had. It's quite pricy though but they are lush.”

Other Bucks residents are hoping that American burger place will also open up in their towns.
An Aylesbury resident said: “We would love one in Aylesbury but you keep opening them around us. That's now one store around 45-60mins away in any direction from us here now.”
Five Guys began back in 1986 when they opened their first US restaurant in Virginia and next week they will open their latest store in High Wycombe.
