Buckinghamshire Council deals with thousands of planning applications every year.
They range from house owners wanting to build an extension to new homes, shops, businesses and even chopping down trees.
Here are five of the best projects announced from last week - the council will now consider whether each should go ahead.
Halifax Branch, 35a High Street, High Wycombe
Proposals have been submitted to convert part of the Halifax branch in High Wycombe town centre into new residential properties.
Developers have put forward the proposals to convert part of the ground floor of the property, currently filled by Halifax, into part retail usage and part shop usage.
Two new one-bedroom apartments would be built on the ground floor of the property, with four further one-bedroom flats planned on the first floor of the property - which is currently occupied by office space.
Wooburn House, Boundary Road, Loudwater
Plans to extend a converted office space in order to create nine more flats have been put forward to the council.
The site is located immediately opposite the Knaves Beech Business Centre in Loudwater.
Developers wish to extend the property further by two more storeys.
197B Desborough Avenue, High Wycombe
This property on Desborough Avenue in High Wycombe could be demolished in order to build a pair of replacement dwellings.
Provision has been included for four parking spaces served by the access used by the current property.
Both of the planned properties are set to be two-bedroom houses.
721 London Road, High Wycombe
An outline planning application has been submitted to build one five-bedroom house to the rear of the current property on London Road in High Wycombe.
The planned house would be a three-storey property.
50 Fernie Fields High Wycombe
Plans to erection a pair of three-bedroom properties following the removal of a garage and extension have been put forward.
