Large amounts of litter have appeared in and around a major supermarket in Aylesbury.
The entrance/exit to one of the town’s Lidl branches (the Oakfield Road store), has large quantities of rubbish in the shrubbery, with several cans, coffee cups, carrier bags, plastic coverings, and even a cushion, appearing near the supermarket.
The store is relatively new to the town as it opened to the public in the back end of 2019/start of 2020.

A spokesperson from the supermarket chain said: “It appears from the images you shared that the litter is located away from our store and not necessarily products purchased from Lidl.
“However, we have raised your concerns with the local council in order to address the situation.
“For reference, our store teams do also conduct regular daily litter picks for refuse located in our car park/premises that has not been correctly disposed of in the bins provided.”

Littering is a huge problem within the county, as many volunteers have been spotted across Buckinghamshire giving up their time in trying to keep their areas and communities free of rubbish.
There are also large quantities of rubbish in the grass verges next to Aylesbury's stretch of the Grand Union Canal.
We have approached Buckinghamshire Council for a comment.
