A school in West Wycombe is looking forward to welcoming a new headteacher who is joining after the Easter holidays.
Ed Tang, currently at Great Missenden School which is Ofsted Outstanding, will be joining West Wycombe School later this year.
The school also joined the Great Learners Trust in September 2020 which is a dynamic group of 8 primary schools working together in Buckinghamshire.
Founded at Great Missenden in 2014 the trust specialises in school improvement by collaboration between schools to accelerate children’s learning.
The new headteacher is eager to get started at his new school to build on its success.
Ed Tang said: “I can’t wait to start as Headteacher at West Wycombe School.
“I am passionate about giving all children the best possible educational experience - after all, they do not get a second chance at primary school.
“The children at West Wycombe can look forward to a rich and exciting school life, full of opportunities for innovation and new challenges.

“I am excited to continue the journey West Wycombe has been on, and to build on the successes and values which make the school unique.”
Joining the Trust has enabled the school to re-design its logo, which now includes the iconic Golden Ball on West Wycombe Hill, the historic school buildings, a rainbow, and a red kite.

Rozalyn Thomson, Director of the Great Learners Trust, is excited by the new appointment of Ed Tang.
She said: “We are delighted that West Wycombe School has joined the Trust and that Ed Tang has now been appointed as the new Headteacher.
“The school has an amazing curriculum, an enthusiastic staff team and really well-behaved, motivated children.

“We have been able to use the DFE Environmental Improvement Grant to upgrade the premises, redecorate, replace furniture and blinds and buy additional equipment for the children in Early Years.
“The quality of the learning environment is so important – children and staff deserve the best. West Wycombe School is a very special place.”
