This week we have unearthed pictures of Beaconsfield from the 1960s.
This first photo shows the shops and the cinema on the western side of Station Road, and cars proceeding in both directions.
The cinema is no longer there and the shops have also changed.

This second picture shows the parish church and the old walnut tree beside Edmund Waller’s grave in the churchyard.
The church stands proud to this day.
