There has been confusion with residents over the booking system for the Covid-19 vaccine as patients are finding it hard to cancel appointments.
This has led to appointments being missed with the Marlow vaccine centre reporting at one stage one in five patients were not turning up.
Even though this has improved it is still an issue due to the confusion around the booking systems.

The NHS booking system and GP booking systems are not linked meaning some patients have been booking two slots on different systems unknowingly.
This happens as residents are being notified by one system to book an appointment even if they have booked an appointment on the other system.
Residents are also unable to cancel appointments online but only by phone, with patients claiming they were still unable to cancel over the phone.
Pharmacy leader at the Marlow vaccine centre said: “While it is still continuing, [no shows] have reduced dramatically, which is very good.
“Whilst we have not developed the NHS booking system, a lot of work has been done in a short amount of time and we are fortunate to have a system at all.
“What has happened is the system has the probably been a little bit overwhelmed.

“And if you have to wait on a phone I can understand it might be difficult and it might put people off.”
