A HOME extension previously branded “too big” could receive retrospective permission next week.
Mr Peter Trice seeks retrospective planning permission for existing works to his semi-detached property on Wooburn Green Lane, in Holtspur, Beaconsfield.
The works include a two-storey side extension and single-storey front and rear extensions.

A garage was demolished to accommodate the side extension, according to a council report.
Two linked dormers in the rear have since been removed from the plans.
COUNCIL: “The extensions do not dominate the main dwelling or the street scene"
Similar applications have been submitted in the past, each time with plans for “conversion of loft to habitable accommodation”.
The existing works ‘do not amount to a disproportionate addition’, nor will it result in ‘any harm to the character of the area or neighbouring properties’, according to council documents.
“The extensions do not dominate the main dwelling or the street scene of which it forms a part. As such, the development is acceptable,” a council officer wrote.

However, 14 letters of objection (prior to the dormer amendments) have been submitted claiming the works are “overbearing”, “too big”, different from the plans and that it causes a ‘loss of light and privacy’.
One other letter has been submitted since then.
Council officers say neighbours to the north and south would not suffer loss of light.
Beaconsfield Parish Council said: “This a retrospective application and a neighbour, who had previously submitted a similar retrospective application, had similar objections raised to his application.”
The recommendation is for conditional permission.
