The area now has particularly heavy footfall and the mud from the footpath is preventing protected wildflowers from peeking through ready for the spring.
It was even entered into Channel 4 show 'Grayson's Art Club' but has had to withdraw as it hadn't been permitted by the Trust.
A new Facebook group ‘Here be Monsters!’ has been created where residents are implored to create monsters and display them outside their house whilst a new location is sourced.
The creator of the group, Stevyn Colgan, said: “Creating monsters and putting them in our homes and gardens to scare away the gloom of lockdowns and pandemics.

“It's simple, make a monster and display him, her, they, it where it can be seen!
“Put a smile on people's faces in your community.”
Monster makers are being asked to pick up their creations from Widmer Fields before the weekend when Stevyn will collect any stragglers.
