A nurse who was found dead at her house took her own life after leaving letters for her children, an inquest heard this week.
Yvonne Costin’s neighbours discovered she had died after they went to check on her at her home in Buckingham Gate, Medmenham, on September 12 last year, when she stopped responding to her husband Andrew’s messages.
Two notes were found written to her children that contained “expressions of sorrow and intent”, as well as various packets of opened and unopened medication, the inquest was told.
In a statement read out to Beaconsfield Coroner's Court on Wednesday, Mr Costin, who is in the RAF, said he was away for work and was informed by their neighbour that Mrs Costin, 47, had passed away.
He said she had been in lockdown since last March and had also lost her father a few months ago. She had also spent some time in York with her mother.
Mr Costin added that she was “stressed” about moving again for his military service.
The court was told Mr Costin became concerned when he did not hear from his wife on the Friday night (September 11).

He rang the house a few times and then called her mother, who said they had last spoken on September 10.
Mr Costin also received a call from Mrs Costin’s daughter asking if he had spoken to her mother.
When he still had not heard anything from her, he asked a neighbour to check in on her. The neighbour told Mr Costin he went through the back gate and found their dog “running loose” and Mrs Costin on the floor of the kitchen, sadly “with no sign of life”.
In his statement made on September 12, he added: “I am still very shocked and upset about the whole situation.”
DC Lucy Berry, who was called to the scene on the day, said she formally identified Mrs Costin from photographs around the house.
She said Mrs Costin was “fully dressed and was even wearing shoes” when she saw her in the kitchen.
The court heard there were a number of opened and unopened medication packets on the side, including prescription and pain medication, and DC Berry saw an iPad on the side with messages asking if she was okay.

In the living room, she found two letters addressed to her children, with DC Berry adding: “They were suicide letters, very upsetting to read.”
A statement from her GP said she had several telephone consultations and was on several medications, but that she had not raised any mental health issues with them.
Senior coroner for Buckinghamshire Crispin Butler said there was “no evidence of what was to come and no signposts to this tragic event being likely to occur”.
Her medical cause of death was found to be mixed drug consumption, with Dr Michael Heath saying: “It was very clear that she was found deceased in her property having taken significant quantities of medication.”
Mr Crispin concluded her death as suicide, adding: “Yvonne Costin was found deceased on the kitchen floor on the morning of September 12, having consumed fatal levels of medication.”
