A CALL has sounded for the council and a major supermarket to work together to rid an area of rubbish it is alleged has been building up for “six months”.
Waste accumulating on Holmers Farm Way, by ASDA, in High Wycombe, has prompted one member of the public to callout the supermarket and Buckinghamshire Council online.

They claim to have reported the matter ‘numerous times’ to both parties, adding the council said it is ASDA’s responsibility and the latter “doesn’t want to know”.

The area appears to be a delivery bay next to which there are discarded bottles, bags, plastic packaging and stuffed toys.
The person said it is “disgusting” and asked both parties to “sort it out”.
“@BucksCouncil @AsdaServiceTeam this rubbish has been on Holmers Farm Way for six months,” they wrote online.
“[The] council says it’s ASDA’s land. ASDA doesn’t want to know. It’s disgusting. Someone sort it out, please.”

They added: “I don’t know the exact number [of times I’ve reported it] but lots of times, to both the council and ASDA. Both ignored it.”
In response, the council encouraged them online to provide it with reference numbers for their alleged complaints and to report the matter via FixMyStreet. Adding: “We will look into this accordingly.”
A spokesperson for ASDA said its cleaning contractors will be visiting the site to clear it up.
