There will be an increase in police patrols in rural parts of the Aylesbury Vale following a spate of thefts from farms.

Between Monday, January 25 to Friday, January 29, it was revealed that there had been nine reports of vehicle and equipment theft.
The thefts happened in the Winslow, Wingrave, and Stoke Hammond areas of the county.
Following the reports, CCTV footage of two cars that could be involved in the thefts have been released, with TVP Aylesbury Vale confirming that an increase of police patrols will take place for the ‘foreseeable’ future.
TVP AV revealed the news regarding the patrols on their Facebook page in three separate posts across three different days.
On January 29, they said: “Officers from the rural NHPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) are patrolling vulnerable areas this evening targeting cross border rural crime offenders.
“If you see anything suspicious please report it straight away.

On January 30, they added: “The Wing NHPT (Neighbourhood Policing Team) have been out and about patrolling the rural areas due to a rise in rural crime across the area.

• Be extra vigilant and report anything suspicious
• Take keys out of all vehicles when they are not being used
• Install sensor security lights and consider installing CCTV
• Ensure all plant machinery is secured away
• Consider having trackers fitted to vehicles

And on February 1, they said: “There will be an increased police presence throughout our rural areas for the foreseeable. These resources are dedicated to preventing rural crime.
“This will involve a collaborative approach from our NH teams, ICR, Armed Response & Roads Policing.
“If you see us out and about, please come and talk to us about recent rural crime and crime prevention.
