More details have been revealed about a new dessert parlour set to come to High Wycombe.

Creams Café has submitted a planning application to convert the former William Hill betting shop, in White Hart Street, after it advertised for full and part-time team members earlier this month.

The applicant wrote: “[The] Shop was a betting shop before, I would have thought there was little chance of a betting shop returning.”

They added: “I am not sure it will have any negative impact. I believe it will help draw people into that area.”

Currently, those looking for their Creams fix have to travel to Slough, Windsor, Reading or Uxbridge – but High Wycombe does have a Treatz dessert parlour in Oxford Street.

Creams was founded in 2008 and has around 90 stores across the UK.

It is not yet known when the branch will open but the High Wycombe section on its website says it is ‘coming soon’, with residents able to order takeaway deserts from Deliveroo, Uber Eats and Just Eat once it opens.

Buckinghamshire Council is expected to make a decision on the plans by March 17.
