A butcher who said he had consensual sex with a student from High Wycombe on the night she disappeared has told a court he later went looking for women to offend against because it “wasn’t enough” for him.
Pawel Relowicz, who is accused of raping and murdering Libby Squire, spent more than three hours driving around Hull looking for women he could perform a sex act in front of before he met the 21-year-old, Sheffield Crown Court heard.
He said he performed a sex act on himself in the street after having sex with Ms Squire but denied that he was sexually excited about what he had “done” to her.

Relowicz, 26, of Raglan Street, Hull, denies raping and murdering the philosophy student, whose body was found in the Humber estuary around seven weeks after she disappeared on February 1, 2019.
The butcher, who worked at Karro Foods, in Malton, north Yorkshire, agreed with prosecutor Richard Wright QC when he said that the “whole purpose” of his journey around Hull on the evening of January 31 was to “find an opportunity to offend”.
Speaking through an interpreter, Polish-born Relowicz said he had the thought of performing a sex act on himself “stuck in his head”.
The court heard that the defendant spent three hours and 20 minutes driving and walking around the streets of Hull before he met Ms Squire, who was drunk, distressed and hypothermic after being refused entry to a nightclub.
The married father-of-two has told the jury that he offered her a lift home but stopped the car at Oak Road playing fields when he thought she was going to be sick.
He said she asked for a hug and they began kissing before having sex on the ground near his car.

He said he drove away after she scratched his face when he refused to kiss her again and he last saw her shouting after his car.
Mr Wright said: “You were back out driving around looking for women that you could masturbate at.
“Three hours and 20 minutes of driving around wanting to do that earlier in the evening.
“You say you had consensual sex with Libby Squire. Should we understand that wasn’t enough for you?
“Because you had to be back out again looking for other women to masturbate at.”
Relowicz said: “Yes, this is correct.”
Mr Wright asked the defendant about carrying out a sex act on himself in the street, which was caught on CCTV in the early hours of February 1, and said: “Were you still sexually excited about what you had done to Libby Squire at Oak Road?
“Did the fact that you had raped her and killed her sexually excite you, Mr Relowicz?”
He replied: “This is not correct.”
Mr Wright asked Relowicz why he did not carry out a sex act on himself in front of Ms Squire when he saw her and he answered: “Because she was crying and she needed help.”
The barrister said: “It was because, Mr Relowicz, this was the opportunity to go further, wasn’t it?
“This was what you really wanted. A drunk and incapable girl just round the corner from your car.
“You wanted to take this girl to a quiet place, didn’t you?”
Relowicz said: “This is not true.”
The prosecution have said Relowicz picked up Ms Squire while he was “prowling around the student area” looking for an opportunity to commit a sexual offence against a vulnerable woman.
The court has heard that he drove her to Oak Road playing fields, where he raped and murdered her before putting her into the River Hull.
The trial continues.
