Buckinghamshire residents will be waking up to a winter wonderland as snow fell in the county overnight [January 23/34].

A yellow weather warning was issued on Friday, January 22 to warn residents in the county and beyond that snow could be falling within the area, and that they should also prepare for thick ice.

In the afternoon of January 23, light snow fell in parts of Aylesbury for a few minutes, before it turned to sleet.
Transport for Bucks also confirmed on Saturday evening that several roads were going to be gritted within the county on Sunday morning due to the snow.

According to the Met Office's latest forecast, the snow is expected to stop at 11am, before resuming at 8pm this evening.
