A 36-year-old man has been charged with several crimes, which include escaping lawful custody.

Following an investigation that was conducted by Thames Valley Police, Clint Butler, aged 36, of no fixed abode, was charged on Wednesday, January 13, with one count each of escaping lawful custody, assault, and possession of Class B drugs, namely cannabis.

He was also charged with two counts of assaulting an emergency worker.
Butler is accused of escaping from HMP Spring Hill in Grendon Underwood on Sunday, November 29, 2020.

He has been remanded into custody and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court today [Thursday, January 14].
