An ePetition for a cycleway to be built from Wendover to Chalfont St. Peter has been signed over 500 times by residents who believe HS2 roadworks have caused problems for local cyclists.
The A413, the road affected, has six active sites from HS2 building work creating disruption to local residents.
The petition that was started by Dennis Keeling on the Buckinghamshire Council website gained momentum, especially with more people now out cycling because of lockdown.
Another E-Petition has also been started about disruption to cyclists between Denham and West Hyde also relating to HS2 roadworks.
The ePeition reads: “We the undersigned petition the council to create a safe cycleway alongside the busy A413 from Wendover to Chalfont St Peter.
“With the increased heavy vehicle usage along the A413 due to HS2 works there needs to be a safer way of cycling along this very busy road.
“A cycleway running nearby the busy trunk road would separate cyclists from the heavy traffic."
