The news of Ant McPartlin's engagement to his girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett has brought back memories of his first wedding which took place in nearby Taplow.
The TV star’s publicist Simon Jones confirmed the happy news in a statement, saying the proposal took place on Christmas Eve at home in a “very romantic setting”.
It comes after Ant, 45, divorced Lisa Armstrong, his wife of 11 years, after admitting adultery in 2018.
The decree absolute, which is the final part of the divorce, was granted in just 30 seconds.
The pair married in a glittering ceremony in Taplow after meeting as teenagers in Newcastle in 1994.
Many local residents will remember the happy day. Ant’s co-host Declan Donnelly was his best man, and both the bride and groom were pictured beaming following the star-studded ceremony.
