A driver who was displaying ‘strange behaviour’ following a car crash had cannabis and cocaine in their system, according to Thames Valley Police Aylesbury Vale.

The accident happened in the late hours of January 3, 2021, and after the police arrived at the scene in Aylesbury, officers gave the driver a preliminary roadside drug wipe, which tested positive for the drugs mentioned above.

TVP Aylesbury Vale said: “Last night [January 3] #Team3 attended reports of an #RTC [road traffic collision].
"One driver displayed strange behaviour and was given a preliminary roadside drug wipe, which returned positive results for cannabis and cocaine.
"The driver was taken to custody to provide samples of blood to prove how much was in his system and has been released pending results from the lab.
