A Buckinghamshire-based policeman has been praised for the number of hours he put in 2020 to make sure the county’s roads were safe.

After completing his shift on New Year’s Eve in Milton Keynes, it was revealed that SC Swain had chalked up an incredible 900 hours of work during the year.
In a brief post that was published by Thames Valley Police’s Roads Policing Facebook page, they said: “He has given over 900 hours of his time this year to serve his local community and keeping the roads safer. Can we give a shout out to him for his dedication and commitment? #SC9130.”

Following the news, several members of the public congratulated SC Swain on his achievement, which included Christina Marlow, who said: “Stay safe and thank you especially at this strange time still coming out to protect the public of MK.
“Happy new year.”
