It has been just over five years since Wycombe Sports Centre closed its doors for the last time.
The historic centre closed at 10pm on December 19, 2015, after serving the town for four decades, ahead of the planned opening of Wycombe Leisure Centre at Handy Cross on January 5, 2016.
The first phase of the old gym and swimming pool was opened in 1975 after two years of construction.
Over the years, the centre was expanded and many hundreds of thousands of people used it, while it was often the home to special sporting and charity events.
The opening of the £25 million Wycombe Leisure Centre, which replaced the old sports centre, marked the end of an era for the town.
Five years on, we take a trip back down memory lane to look at some of the big changes and events which took place there in the 40 years it was a part of the town.
