The New Year’s Honours List has been revealed – and a number of Bucks residents have been recognised for their sterling efforts in the community during a tough year.
Charity stalwarts, Covid-19 heroes, healthcare champions, a councillor and volunteers are just some of the recipients of these prestigious awards.
Those who have been instrumental in the coronavirus effort have dominated the 2021 list.

Among the more unusual efforts being honoured are those of Veronica Main, from Hazlemere, who receives an MBE for services to Straw Hat Plaiting and Endangered Crafts Skills.
Nominees are still unsure how they will receive the awards with social distancing and tier restrictions, but the hope is they will be handed out later next year.
Here is the full list of Bucks residents, according to news agency Press Association, to be awarded the honours.
