A manhunt has been launched after a prisoner escaped from HMP Springhill.
Shane Hadderton, 32, was serving a sentence for burglary and driving offences at the Bucks prison and escaped yesterday (Tuesday) morning.
Hadderton has been described as a white man, around 6ft 1in tall, with dark, brown hair and green eyes.
He also has a tattoo on his right arm of the words ‘Only God Can Judge Me’ and another tattoo on his right ankle, as well as a scar on both hands.
He is known to frequent the Heybridge, Southminister and Colchester areas of Essex, Tunbridge Wells in Kent and Surrey.
Detective Constable Paice O’Brien, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We are appealing for help in tracing Hadderton after he absconded yesterday morning.
“We would ask anyone with information as to his whereabouts, or anyone who might have seen someone matching his description to come forward.
“Anyone who sees him should not approach him but call Thames Valley Police on 999 quoting reference 43200425350.”
