Coventry City are the visitors to Adams Park on Saturday, with Wycombe Wanderers looking to arrest a couple of poor runs.
Not only are the Chairboys winless in seven in the Championship, they have also failed to avoid defeat against The Sky Blues in their last eight meetings.
Among the most notable of those were Coventry’s 4-1 win in Buckinghamshire on their way to winning the League One title and their victory at the Ricoh Arena in the semi-finals of the EFL Trophy.
Wanderers have problems with injuries after Anthony Stewart joined the players in the treatment room, missing the midweek trip to Barnsley to end a run of 4,477 consecutive minutes of league action.
That meant Jack Grimmer played at centre-back at Oakwell, with Ryan Tafazolli and Darius Charles also still missing.
Dom Gape returned from injury recently and creative midfielder Dennis Adeniran failed to get off the bench against The Tykes after recently recovering from a knock.
Midfield lynchpin Curtis Thompson is also still on the sidelines, as is summer signing Uche Ikpeazu, who hasn’t played for the Chairboys since October.
There will be 2000 fans at Adams Park for the visit of the League One champions, with tickets given to season ticket holders who purchased earliest.
The presence of supporters certainly provided a boost to The Chairboys against Stoke, and the increased numbers could be the difference needed to finally get over the line and pick up another three points.
Mark Robins’ Coventry currently sit 19th in the Championship, the highest of the three promoted sides.
However, they’re unbeaten in their last six having collected wins against Cardiff and Rotherham as well as a creditable point against Luton last time out.
Four of those six have been draws, so although the form of both sides probably suggests another draw, Wycombe will be desperate for all three points to claw The Sky Blues back into the thick of the relegation battle.
