A new pod has been launched by a care home to protect its residents, staff and visitors during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The Swarthmore Resident Care Home in Gerrards Cross revealed their new safe space in the middle of November, and hopes it will be beneficial to those who are connected to the care home.

A spokesperson from the care home said: “The pod provides a comfortable space with windows for ventilation and doors with ramps for easy wheelchair access.
“When using the space, residents can safely ‘socially distance’ from their visitors thanks to a thin, robust perspex panel with a two-way intercom.
“Emergency call points have been installed on both sides of the Pod.
Sanitisers are also provided in the room for visitor use.
“The pod will be ventilated and sanitised between each visit and deep cleaned daily."
