Scouts from High Wycombe took part in a ‘Race Around the World’, which was led by a group of celebrities.
Big names and Scouts ambassadors such as Steve Backshall, Helen Glover, Tim Peake, Ellie Simmonds, Ed Stafford, Saray Khumalo, Dwayne Fields and Megan Hine led the event.
Those taking part are able to choose whether they want to walk, run, skateboard, scoot, cycle, or canoe to different destinations, with the children gaining their hikes away, cyclist, outdoor skills challenge, time on the water and international badges if they were to succeed.

The activity also aims to encourage children to learn about other countries as well as their cultures, food, population, and languages.
Some of the children are also trying food from different countries, with some families using the activity as an opportunity to get some healthy exercise.
Lead volunteer for Beaver Scouts (boys and girls aged six to eight) Tessa Ingram said: “I’m sure lots of Beavers will be encouraging their parents, carers, siblings and other friends and relations to go out on some muddy walks.”

The aim of the challenge is to raise money to ensure some groups related to the Scouts don’t have to close due to a lack of finances
