Tesco has revealed plans to open up a new Express store in Hazlemere.
The supermarket chain wants to open at 325 Amersham Road according to newly-submitted plans.
If given the go-ahead by Buckinghamshire Council, Tesco plans to update the front of the current building, which is close to the Three Horseshoes pub, by installing a new shopfront and doors.
The chain will also install seven anti-ram raid bollards out the front.
Out the back of the building, there are eight parking spaces, with one designated for the tenant of the first floor apartment.
The parking, which is accessed on Green Street, will not change, and customers parking out the back will still be able to get into the store via a side alleyway between the shop and the pub.
A Tesco spokesman told the Bucks Free Press: “We’re pleased to confirm plans to open a new Tesco Express store at 325 Amersham Road, Hazelmere to serve customers in the area with great quality, affordable food, create new jobs for the community and bring the vacant unit back in to use.
"These plans are subject to planning permission and if approved we hope to open early 2021. We will keep the community updated as our plans progress.”
The building was previously occupied by Julian Graham Kitchens and Bathrooms but was put up for rent for around £55,000 per year.
