Several eateries have come together to offer free meals for children during the half-time break.
This comes after the Government decided to reject extending free school meals over holiday periods – a decision that was heavily criticised by members of the opposition, members of the public, and Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, who is aiming to end child poverty in the UK.
The 22-year-old, who turns 23 on October 31, has shared via his Twitter page the cities and towns across the country that are doing their bit to help feed children during this half-term.
The England forward recently had a war of words with High Wycombe’s MP Steve Baker on Twitter about the decision to not extend free school meals, with the town’s representative being one of the politicians to reject the notion.
Here is a list of restaurants, pubs, cafes, and eateries in Buckinghamshire that are offering free food to school children this half-term.
The half-term holiday lasts from Monday, October 26 to Friday, October 30.
