The average Wycombe house price in July was £388,510, Land Registry figures show – a 0.6 per cent decrease on June.
Over the month, the picture was worse than that across the South East, where prices increased 0.3 per cent, and Wycombe underperformed compared to the 0.5 per cent rise for the UK as a whole.
Over the last year, the average sale price of property in Wycombe remained level – putting the area 64th among the South East’s 67 local authorities for annual growth.
The best annual growth in the region was in West Oxfordshire, where properties increased on average by 7 per cent, to £332,000.
At the other end of the scale, properties in Surrey Heath dropped 3.9 per cent in value, giving an average price of £376,000.

Owners of detached houses fared worst in Wycombe in July – they dropped 1.0 per cent in price, to £679,658 on average. Over the last year, prices dropped by 2.5 per cent.
