UPDATE: Man rammed moped into front of shop before threatening staff with handgun
Police have cordoned off a shop in Beaconsfield New Town this morning amid unconfirmed reports of an armed robbery.
Convenience store McColl's on Penn Road has been taped off with police at the scene since around 6.30am.
It has not yet been confirmed what has happened, but neighbours suggested there may have been an armed robbery there early today.

Police are still guarding the scene with officers inside and a police car parked out the front.
