A Marlow Bottom fish and chip shop has finally received their trophy after they were named as one of the best places to get a takeaway from in the country.
Oysters Fish and Chips, which is located in Brucewood Parade, were named as one of the top 50 winners in the 2020 Fry Awards back in April, with the shop receiving an incredible 96 per cent.
Organised by Fry Magazine, the competition sees a mystery diner arrive at several outlets across the country, with the establishments being judged on customer service, cleanliness, adapting to the customer’s needs, as well as how good the food tastes.

In all, the inspector judges the food outlet on over 40 aspects of their business.
The inspection took place in January with the winners being announced in April, but the popular chippy received their trophy in the last few weeks due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In a brief statement, the shop’s owner, Gav Singh, said: “We’ve only gone and done it!
“We only got the trophy recently because of what is going on with Covid, but to get 96 per cent is just brilliant.

“I am really proud of this achievement and as a small, local, independent business, we are really punching above our weight and I’m loving it.
“We are doing our very best to keep traditional fish and chips alive so I am very proud to receive this honour.”
Mr Singh has owned the shop since March 2009.
