Throughout September, the elderly will be able to enjoy online shopping trips at the Edinburgh Woollen Mill Store, with the first virtual experience at the start of this month being described as a ‘huge success’, by Sarah Loveday, one of the home’s employees.
She said: “Residents had been set up with their own personal shopping time and enjoyed their virtual trip around the store, pointing out what they liked the look of, with Natalie, the activities manager, showing them a variety of styles, colours and sizes.
“When everybody had made their choices, Natalie returned with bags full of the new items, for everyone to try on for size during the week.

“Next Tuesday, (September 15), she will return to them for the next of our weekly trips.”
Prior to lockdown, the residents regularly visited the garden centre.
