Marlow's crime rate is on the rise according to new figures

The latest crime statistics for Marlow have been revealed.

Sourced through www.police.uk, the figures show what crimes were reported in the town, as well as how many crimes took place on a monthly basis.

The most recent statistics are from July and in total, there were 183 crimes reported in Marlow, which is an increase from 155 reports from July 2019.

And according to the figures, 47 of those crimes were linked to violence and sexual offences.

This is a rise from 34 violence and sexual crimes in June.

Thirty-three of the reports were related to anti-social behaviour whilst there were 23 reports of criminal damage and arson.

There were also 80 reports of other crimes in Marlow during July.

The breakdown of Marlow’s most crime statistics are as follows:

Anti-social behaviour: 33 reports
Bicycle theft: 11 reports
Burglary: eight reports
Criminal damage and arson: 23 reports
Drugs: Two reports
Other theft: 22 reports
Public order: 10 reports
Robbery: One report
Shoplifting: 11 reports
Theft from person: six reports
Vehicle crime: Seven reports
Violence and sexual offences: 47 reports
Other crime: Two reports

The 183 reported crimes in July is also an increase from June, when 136 crimes were reported in the town and the surrounding areas.
