A man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder investigation in High Wycombe.
This follows the stabbing of a 19-year-old man on Monday in Easton Street.
At around 11.15 on Monday, the victim man was chased through Easton Street in High Wycombe and then stabbed with a machete or a sword.
He was caught on the grass verge by Wycombe Magistrates’ Court and stabbed with a large knife, believed to be a machete or sword.
The victim remains in hospital receiving treatment.

An 18-year-old man, who is from High Wycombe, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
Investigating officer Detective Inspector Gill Fox, of Wycombe CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and have now made an arrest.
“I would still like to appeal to anyone who has any information about what happened to come forward.
“You can contact police by calling 101 or reporting online, quoting reference number 43200279933. Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers to make an anonymous report by calling 0800 555 111.”
