The Queen has revealed who will succeed the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire once Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher Bt KCVO steps down in November this year.
Sir Henry, who will be stepping down on his 75th birthday, will be replaced by Countess Elizabeth Howe DL, who was the high sheriff of Buckinghamshire in 2010/11.

She has raised money for several charities in the community and chairs the Heart of Bucks, the Community Foundation, and is a patron of Milton Keynes Islamic Art, Heritage and Culture (MKIAC), and she was also appointed as a deputy lieutenant in 1995
In addition to this, three new deputy lieutenants for Buckinghamshire were also appointed with Sir Francis Habgood QPM DL, Mrs Julia Upton MBE DL and Mrs Sarah Clarke JP DL taking the roles of the official deputies of the Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher.

Francis Habgood was chief constable at Thames Valley Police between 2015 and 2019, where he completed a 32-year career with the police and received his knighthood in the 2020 New Year honours.
He currently serves as an independent chair of the Safeguarding Adults’ Board and the Safeguarding Children’s Partnership for Bucks.
Julia Upton was high sheriff for Buckinghamshire 2019/20 and in 2016, she received an MBE for her contribution to the community of Milton Keynes and her role as chief executive of the Milton Keynes Community Foundation.
This post brought her into contact with a large number of Milton Keynes charities, supporters and philanthropists, with Julia also being a trustee of MK YMCA, Stables Theatre and the MK Cenotaph Trust.
Sarah Clarke has chaired both the Magistrates Association from 2012 to 2016 and more recently, the Buckinghamshire bench until March this year.
She was the county coordinator for the national Schools' Mock Trial Competition and has been involved in working with schools across Buckinghamshire to promote the competition. Sarah is also a trustee of the Magistrates Association.

She is also a director at Develin Consulting Ltd, a management consultancy company which specialises in data analytics and change management within the commercial and charitable sectors.
Sir Henry said: “I am delighted to welcome Francis, Julia and Sarah to their new roles.
“Their variety of backgrounds, skills and experience will be an asset to the lieutenancy, and benefit Buckinghamshire greatly.
"I look forward to working with them and am confident that they will carry out their duties splendidly.”
